Contemporary Folk Art (22.06.2019 – still open)

Our exhibition on contemporary folk art is situated in the “House Of Local Treasures” (19 Hősök tere) displaying the works of the numerous folk artisans in the town of Hajdúszoboszló. The objects, inspired by Hungarian folk art, are prepared using traditional handcrafting techniques, and can be used even today as decoration or as useful tools in modern homes. Among the exhibits are the works of András Galánfi and Ferenc Császi, wood carvers, István Fazekas, potter, Piroska Radácsi and Aranka Göncziné Tóth, embroiderers, and Teréz Galánfiné Schmidt, weaver.
